Life drawings

Works in the life drawings category are drawn from life, and generally I store them in large books. In front of every figure, machine, face or place I sat and drew. Sometimes on paper I had prepainted patterns applied to the surface, or used design paper or more recently my own photographs glued on the paper so that when I found the thing I planned to draw, I would shuffle through the batch of papers I had brought along to find the best fit.

If none worked, I would use just a straight white sheet. These days, pretty much all paper I use has something on the surface I apply before the sitting. After the main subject is captured I take it home to be finished with additional strokes, pencil work or airbrushing — and sometimes even more glued on paper.

Mediums used; ink pen, acrylic paint applied with pallet knife and airbrush, water color, gouche, sharpie pens,  black and white photograhps, and various designer art papers.
